Global Review of Finance and EconomicsBusiness, finance, and policy research.
The Global Review of Finance and Economics (GRFE) publishes original, rigorous research that advances theoretical understanding and empirical evidence across finance, economics, quantitative methods, and public policy.
GRFE welcomes research from all geographic regions and methodological traditions, provided that submissions demonstrate analytical rigor, transparency, methodological soundness, and a meaningful contribution to the existing literature.
The journal particularly welcomes research addressing contemporary developments in global financial systems, economic policy, financial institutions, markets, technological innovation, sustainability, and development.
GRFE welcomes original research in, but not limited to, the following areas:
Capital Markets and Asset Pricing — Equity markets, fixed income, derivatives, alternative assets, market microstructure, liquidity, and volatility.
Corporate Finance and Governance — Capital structure, dividend policy, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, corporate governance, boards, and shareholder activism.
Banking and Financial Institutions — Banking performance, financial stability, risk management, prudential regulation, and financial technology.
Macroeconomic Policy and Fiscal Studies — Monetary policy, fiscal policy, inflation, sovereign debt, fiscal multipliers, and central banking.

Environmental and Energy Economics — Climate economics, carbon pricing, renewable energy finance, climate risk, sustainability, and ESG investing.
Financial Risk Management and Insurance — Market risk, credit risk, operational risk, insurance economics, and actuarial science.
GRFE welcomes interdisciplinary research when the central research question makes a substantive contribution to finance or economics.
Methods and perspectives from fields such as computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, psychology, and political science may be incorporated where they are meaningfully applied to financial or economic research questions.
Submissions should present a clearly defined research question, appropriate methodology, engagement with relevant scholarly literature, and a substantive academic contribution.
GRFE does not normally consider:
Purely descriptive studies without sufficient analytical contribution
Management case studies without meaningful quantitative or analytical analysis
Instructional or pedagogical papers
Political opinion pieces lacking empirical or scholarly analysis
Manuscripts that do not engage meaningfully with established literature in finance or economics
Submissions whose primary contribution falls outside the journal's disciplinary scope
All submissions are evaluated according to their scholarly quality, methodological rigor, relevance to the journal's scope, originality, and contribution to the field.
GRFE accepts submissions from researchers worldwide and does not restrict contributions by geographic region. Both theoretical and empirical approaches are welcomed, including quantitative, computational, experimental, and other rigorous research methodologies appropriate to the research question.
The journal welcomes research addressing emerging and established challenges at the intersection of finance, economics, technology, sustainability, and public policy.
Authors are encouraged to submit research that provides new evidence, develops or tests theory, advances methodology, or offers meaningful implications for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
